It's New Years in a couple weeks, which for most people means a time to reassess goals and aspirations... and for some of us new resolutions. Right now is the PERFECT time to reassess your time to figure out how you are going to get it all done.
On today's episode we do a quick review of the Perfect Day Itinerary, an exercise that's designed to help you focus on your goals and priorities while strategically managing your time in order to accomplish them. Because like the famous Stephen Covey said, "The Key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities."

As we head into the new year and wave goodbye to 2017 it is only natural to dive head first into plans for the fresh new year. Well, at least for me. I am for sure a future-oriented thinker, so I LOVE new years... I love planning, goal-setting, and dreaming big.
But, I need to be careful. Sometimes, before charging forward, I need to ease my foot on the brake and give myself the space and freedom to reflect on this past year of my life.
For today's episode, I share with you an article that's geared towards aspiring leaders, but I believe that we all can benefit from it. It's called 12 Questions to Reflect Upon As You Start A New Year. It's written by Eileen Chadnick who is a Leadership and Work-Life Coach with Big Cheese Coaching and Author of the book called Ease - Manage Overwhelm in Times of "Crazy Busy".

We are now at the tail end of 2017. We have just a few more weeks until the New Year and I am sure, if you're like me, this is when you begin to look back at how things have gone in your life these past twelve months, you think about what your life is like right now, and you begin consider your hopes and goals for next year.
For this upcoming Monday's full length episode I'm going to give you some very specific questions to ask yourself during this season of reflection. But first, before that, for today's special encore episode, we're going to go back in time and replay one of our episodes from around this time last year. It is my reminder to you that no matter where you are in life, you need to be kind to yourself.
This encore is from episode #40 Always Moving Onward & Upward... enjoy!

One of the most important things in my life that I want to focus on, are my loved ones. My family, my friends, and even other random people in my life like my son's teacher, neighbors, clients, and so on.
People are important to me.
Recently I stumbled across an article online that really challenged me when it comes to my interactions with people in my day to day life. For today's episode, I read that article to you.
It's on a website called ThriveGlobal.com and it's written by Katherine Schafler, a NYC-based psychotherapist, writer and speaker. It's called How to Change Your Life in One Second Flat: The 4 Critical Questions We're All Unconsciously Asking Each Other Near Constantly.

For today's quick and brief 3 minute Thursday episode I'd like to share with you a little poem I found about organizing. I did not write this, I actually found it on a website called ClutterCleaners.com and it looks like it was written by someone at Poet Endeavors.
I thought it was kinda cute and light hearted and I'm sure many of you professional home organizers out there who are regular listeners of the show will for sure appreciate it!

Let's jump back to an episode that we released way back in September of 2016. It was called "Do You Have a 'Just In Case' Mentality?"
In that episode I talk about one very specific reason that we hang on to certain items that we don't love, don't need, or don't see as sentimental. It's a very common factor that I'm sure all of us can relate to. It's called the "just in case" mentality.
